Dashboards and funnels
Every app opens on its dashboard. Each person can arrange their own, keep several per app, and add funnels, errors and experiments to them. Funnels show how visitors move from one step to the next.
Your own dashboards

- Customize: on the dashboard, choose Customize to add, remove, move and resize panels. Each panel is 1 to 12 columns wide and any number of rows high, and can be collapsed. A panel's wrench sets its own options, such as the tab it opens on or the funnel it shows.
- Panels: summary, chart (with up to three custom events), live, pages, sources, locations, devices, languages, sites, goals, feedback, a funnel, the waitlist, errors and the Lab's running experiments.
- Several per app: keep up to 20 named dashboards per app, switch between them from the title, and reset the default to how it shipped.
- Personal: dashboards are each person's own, viewers included. The iPhone and Mac apps and the terminal (
:dash) lay out the same.
Time windows
The last 30 minutes, 24 hours, a month or everything, or any range in the picker, by day or to the minute. Links keep the window, filters and segment, so a shared link opens the same view.
Funnels

A funnel is 2 to 8 steps. For each step it shows how many reached it, the share from the start and from the step before, the drop-off, and the median time to the next step.
| Step | Matches |
|---|---|
| Page view | One page, such as /checkout |
| Page prefix | Any page under a path: /products/*; * stands for any characters |
| Custom event | An event by name, such as purchase |
| Event with property | An event whose property has a value, such as signup with plan = pro |
- Within a visit, or across a visitor's day (their visits on one UTC day). Visitor codes change at midnight and no cookies are kept, so midnight or a second device splits a journey.
- In order, with anything allowed between steps, or in any order.
- Through a segment or filters, like the dashboard.
Admins make and change funnels in the designer, which counts each step as you build. A funnel can be a dashboard panel and an experiment's goal.
Importing from Google Analytics
Owners and admins can import an app's history from Google Analytics 4 in the app's settings (Import). It runs in the background, a month at a time, and fills only the days before the app's own data begins, so imported and own data never overlap.
- Counts in: the totals, the visitors chart, the overview, goals (GA key events) and most breakdowns.
- Left out of: funnels, segments and filters, exit pages and hosts, and live visitors; the dashboard says so when that applies.
- Setup: the server needs a Google OAuth client,
GOOGLE_CLIENT_IDandGOOGLE_CLIENT_SECRET. The Import section shows the redirect address to register.
The API has every operation (dashboards, funnels, import), and MCP has tools for each.
